books

It looks like the bookstore has run out of books. Make sure you let someone at the bookstore know so that more copies can be ordered. Remember that you can also get Rules for Writers 7th Edition other places, such as Amazon. The EWRT1A Reader is only available through the bookstore, so if you need a copy you must tell a bookstore employee. If you don't have a copy of the reader yet, please send me an e-mail telling me so that I can help you with the Freire reading for Tuesday.

Professor Mullins,
Do you prefer us to cite the EWRT1A Reader in class assignments like the reading responses?

Also, can you mention how strict you may be with the 300 word guideline to the reading responses? If a student has a little bit more (100-150 words), but thinks it is good writing and a good argument, is it okay to do so, or do you suggest editing it down?

Thanks!

Don't worry about citation yet. But in future, I am going to want students to have in-text citation for the reading responses.

300 words is a basic benchmark. If you go a little over, it's not a big deal. Still, one thing we will work on is conciseness. So make sure the words you have are necessary. Get rid of any fluff.
